Product managers Meta Now using Vibe codingthey design application prototypes to quickly present them to Mark Zuckerberg, the company’s CEO. According to reports, this method has made it possible for managers to turn ideas into showable demos without depending on engineers, and the product development process goes much faster.
Using Vibe coding in Meta
Meta Superintelligence Labs product manager Joseph Spisak explained at the TechEquity AI Summit in Sunnyville, California.
“Meta’s product managers design prototypes with Vibe coding and present them directly to Zuckerberg and the leadership team, a method that allows ideas to be tested quickly and reviewed effectively.”
Vibe coding is a popular concept among developers and refers to the use of artificial intelligence for coding with natural language commands. Spisak says that with this method, products can be designed in a few hours or days and the space of ideas can be quickly evaluated.
Meta’s internal systems are designed so that even non-engineers can change application interfaces and components live without the involvement of developers.
This structure suggests that Meta, like other Silicon Valley companies, has organized product development around artificial intelligence assistants. The company has at least two AI assistants: Metamatea ChatGPT-like bot trained with internal data, and Devmatea coding assistant that combines several major language models, including competing models such as Entropic, to speed up the programming process.
Spisak says her 11-year-old daughter creates new environments in Roblox using sensory coding, and she emphasized to product managers that they shouldn’t be afraid to experiment and engage in the building process.
Accelerating the development process and the use of Vibe coding has become one of the main priorities of Meta Artificial Intelligence Lab. An internal memo in September noted that Meta’s current systems, designed for billions of users and large engineering teams, took time to implement changes and were not suitable for sensory coding, making it difficult for small AI teams to conduct rapid and flexible experiments.
Similar developments are underway across Silicon Valley. Google encourages its employees to use artificial intelligence in all stages of product development, and Sundar Pichai has stated that more than a quarter of Google’s code is generated by AI before human review. Also, Microsoft has informed its managers that the use of artificial intelligence is no longer optional.
Vibe coding skills have now become one of the hiring priorities in the tech industry. Companies like Reddit and DoorDash have listed experience working with AI tools like Cursor and Bolt as a desired skill. Also, Y Combinator has declared sensory coding ability to be mandatory and non-negotiable for new hires.
