The biggest supermoon of the solar year 1404 (year 2025 AD) on Aban 14 (November 5) brightened the night of many inhabitants of the planet Earth; In the meantime, amateur and professional photographers in different parts of the world captured the image of this golden tablet next to the earthly scenery, capturing the spectacular moments.

The full moon of Aban (November), which showed its full moon at 16:49 Tehran time, is known as the “Beaver Moon” because during this period the toothed mammals are specially prepared for the long winter months. This month is also known as “ice month” and “digging month” and it tells the arrival of the cold season and the beginning of cultivation.
Due to the fact that the Earth’s moon reached its minimum annual distance from the Earth on November 14 (November 5), it appeared both larger and brighter to terrestrial observers, and its presence near the horizon at sunrise and sunset created spectacular moments that were captured by photographers around the world.
Using a telephoto lens in Paris, Moritz captured a beautifully detailed image of the moon’s fully illuminated disc, seen from behind the massive steel structure of the iconic monument.

The photo of the yellow supermoon of Aban 1404, which shines near the peak of “Monte Prena” (Monte Prena) in the Laquila region of Italy, is one of the eye-catching images of this event. This unusual color is the result of a phenomenon called Rayleigh Scattering, which scatters the bluer wavelengths of light reflected from the moon closer to the horizon, where the atmosphere is thicker, while allowing the redder wavelengths to pass more easily.

In another photo taken by Mohammad Rahimi of the new moon of Aban 1404 in Isfahan, the image of people on top of Mount Safa provides a good human scale to consider the dimensions of the moon. But the picture is complete when an airplane passes in front of the moon on its way and makes this moment even more spectacular. According to him, seeing the light of the plane, he made the final calculation in just a few seconds to record its passage in front of the moon, and recording this moment was like a dream come true. You can see the video of the plane passing here.

Supermoon, an opportunity for the world to look at the night sky
In today’s cities, where light pollution has deprived modern humans of the opportunity to see deep sky objects, the occurrence of events like the supermoon, apart from all the hype and sometimes exaggeration surrounding it, is considered an opportunity to reconnect with the night sky. People all over the world look at a common phenomenon in one night, and while re-evoking the concepts of the night sky, they once again remind the common bonds of mankind everywhere in the world and peace.
