Amazon company unveiled the prototype of smart glasses equipped with artificial ielligence for its couriers. This new technology is designed with the aim of increasing safety and optimizing the package delivery process. Augmeed reality glasses display key information directly in the driver’s field of vision to minimize the need to use hand-held devices such as smartphones.
According to the Wearable Gadgets section of Tekna Technology News and Technology Media, these glasses help drivers to scan packages, follow walking routes in turns and record delivery confirmation photos without using their hands. This wearable system comes with a coroller attached to the driver’s vest, which houses a replaceable battery and corol buttons.
The computer vision and artificial ielligence technology used in this product helps to ideify possible obstacles such as pets or road irregularities. Amazon has announced that these glasses have been designed and optimized with feedback from hundreds of drivers to ensure comfort and performance throughout the day.
The company plans to add more advanced features such as insta detection of wrong delivery to this system in the future. The release of this technology is considered an importa step towards automating and ielligeizing the last stage of the logistics chain and can significaly increase operational efficiency.
