OpenAI seems to wa to transform ChatGPT from a one-person tool to a social platform. New clues have been discovered in the Android application code of this service, which show that direct sending and group chat capabilities will soon be added to this platform.
An engineer discovered code in the beta version of the ChatGPT Android app that shows OpenAI was to bring two new features, human-to-human ieraction, to its platform: 1.direct message (DM) where users will be able to chat with each other privately and one-on-one. 2.group chat in which it will be possible to create groups for the conversation of several users with each other.

In addition, users will be able to create a social profile for themselves by adding a profile picture and screen name. Of course, these features are still in the early stages of developme.
Direct and group chat capability in ChatGPT
This move is in line with OpenAI’s rece pivot to social products. This company has recely released the Sora application, which has features such as user profiles and direct sending. OpenAI seems to have come to the conclusion that in order to increase the engageme and time spe by users in its applications, it needs to go beyond a tool and become a social platform.
These features allow users to create coe with artificial ielligence and share and discuss the same coe with others easily without leaving the application. This is a big step towards creating a complete and iegrated ecosystem.
It is not yet known whether multiple custom GPTs can be added simultaneously in group chats. Such a feature can be very useful, allowing users to use two differe bots to solve the same problem and compare their answers.
The most disturbing aspect of these capabilities is that in the discovered codes, there is no meion of any encryption for these messages. This raises the strong possibility that OpenAI may use the coe of these human chats to train and improve its future models.
