Google has announced that it will invest 15 billion dollars to build new data ceers in India.
According to CNBC, Google plans to invest 15 billion dollars to build data ceers to create a new artificial ielligence ceer in South India. This news was announced by Thomas Kurian, the CEO of Google Cloud, on Tuesday in an official eve. Kurian added that the investme will be made over the next five years and that the ceer will be Google’s largest AI hub outside the United States.

Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Developme Minister Nara Lokesh estimated the value of this one gigawatt project at $10 billion in a stateme. In a post on the X social network, he wrote that this agreeme is the result of a year of iensive talks and non-stop efforts and is only the beginning.

The Indian newspaper Economic Times previously reported that this investme will be made through Google’s Indian subsidiary called Raiden Infotech. The company plans to set up at least three campuses across the city of Vishakhapatnam.
State officials have announced plans to increase investme in similar projects and significaly increase computing capacity over the next three years.

In its second-quarter financial report in July, the tech gia raised its forecast for capital expenditures for 2025 to $85 billion from $75 billion in February, citing strong and growing demand for its cloud products and services.
