We all know the problem of Apple Vision Pro: its price is too high. Now, according to a new report, Apple has decided to focus less on the cheaper version of this hybrid reality headset and instead focus on the production of smart glasses similar to Ray-Ban.
According to Mark Gorman, a Bloomberg corresponde, Apple’s company seems to have abandoned the cheaper Vision Pro project so that its teams can focus on competitive production for meta smart glasses.
The cheaper version of Vision Pro was supposed to be released in year 6 and should not be confused with Apple Vision Pro, as Vision Pro is a separate and slightly upgraded version of the Vision Pro headset. Vision Pro 2 is apparely set to launch next year.
However, Apple was reportedly working on a cheaper and lighter version of Vision Pro, after a sharp decline in sales of its $ 1.5 hybrid reality headset released earlier last year.
Although the major change in Apple apps for Vision Pro should not be surprising, Apple’s focus on smart glasses is definitely a significa change. Currely, Samsung, Google, Meta, Amazon and a set of ambitious startups are competing to launch new smart glasses, and we have been knowing that Apple is developing its smart glasses for a while.
Gorman reports that Apple is developing two separate smartphones: one with iegrated display on the device and the other without a display paired with the iPhone. Apple plans to iroduce the non -display model, domestically known as the N50 next year. The model was initially scheduled for release in year 6, but with Apple’s focus change, its date has come up. Apple also targeted smart display glasses for year 2, but according to Gorman, it will probably be earlier.
Apple’s smart glasses will focus strongly on artificial ielligence and audio ieraction. The company is reconstructing Siri to make it an audio assista with artificial ielligence similar to ChatGpt. Apple’s smart glasses will also be available in a variety of designs and will include speakers and iernal cameras. The device will be fed from Apple’s completely new chip, and Apple’s health monitoring technologies are expected to merge.
Meta has achieved success with Ray-Ban smart glasses, so Apple is trying to keep up with some of its competitors. However, this situation is not new to Apple and has been in such a situation. Just look at the iPhone, which was iroduced in year 6, when other mobile companies had already become industry gias.
