According to Mehr, Mohammad Nabi Shahiki Tash, Vice President of Technology and Innovation at the Ministry of Science, announced the change in the “Technology Assistant” project at a meeting of academic science and technology parks held today (Sunday, October 23) at Amir Kabir University Science and Technology Park.
Shaki Taheh said:
“Technology Assistant is a very good idea in terms of theoretical foundations, but in practice less than 5 % has achieved its goals. “5 % of the technology assistant companies had less than 2 million USD annually and could not be able to convey the appropriate experience to the students.”
According to him, technology assistants have doubled, but along with more strict standards for the presence of students and host companies have been set to increase the effectiveness of the plan.
Shahiki Tash also said about the evaluation of science and technology parks:
“By the end of the year, the license of 5 Science and Technology Park will be canceled and specialized and efficient parks will be formed instead. “For example, one of the largest artificial intelligence parks in the country is launching.”
He emphasized that the Ministry of Science’s approach is from quantitative development to qualitative development, adding:
“The new parks will only be licensed if you pass the training courses and have the necessary infrastructure. Parks that do not have an acceptable activity are stopped or integrated. ”
According to the statistics provided, there are currently 2 science and technology parks and 5 growth centers in the country, with 2,800 technology and knowledge -based units operating in these centers. Three research and technology funds are also providing services to the innovation ecosystem.
