At the Snapdragon 2025 summit, Qualcomm unveiled its programs for the sixth generation of mobile communications (4G). The technology, which is going to make the connection between cloud and Edge Devices, can substaially change the way Android phones are connected to the surroundings.
The future of mobile communication has recely found a specific timetable. Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Ammon announced at the Snapdragon 2025 summit that the company expects the first 4G technology devices to be prepared “since year 2”. Although it is still a few years left, this date was earlier than the forecast of many experts and can change the way Android phones are connected to the surroundings.
This transformation does not simply mean the speed of download. Ammon explained that the sixth generation will be a smart network with the ability to understand and receive sensor data and is designed to connect the cloud and Edge Device.
