The new generation of Samsung’s Peltiier cooling technology, developed in collaboration with the University of Johns Hopkins’ Applied Physics Laboratory, has received the 100 -year R&D Prize, often referred to as the Nobel Prize in Engineering and Innovation Oscar. The award is awarded by the R&D World magazine and iroduces the world’s hundred innovative technologies every year.
Peltiier cooling technology was first unveiled earlier this year in a journal in the journal Nature Communications. Samsung engineers have collaborated with Dr. Rama Venkatasubramanian’s Thermoelectric Research Team and the use of nanotechnology to improve the performance and performance of a platform. Instead of traditional refrigeras that can be harmful to the environme, it uses a semiconductor for cooling.
