The new flagship of Google, the Pixel Pro 4 Pro, uses the same camera combination used in the Pixel 4 Pro, but it has a new cap feature called Pro res zoom, which can be a serious competitor for the best camera -equipped handsets in year 6. Since the launch of the Pixel 2, Google’s handsets have offered a Super Rs Zoom feature that put together multiple images to improve the quality of digital magnification photos. Now the Pixel 4 Pro and Pixel Pro XL have taken the route one step further and iroduced a new feature called Pro Res Zoom.
According to Google, Pro res zoom allows Peru models to capture amazing details up to 3x magnification. This feature is possible with the help of the G5 Tannu chip and an image production model that can reconstruct and correct very fine details. Reddit has tried a Pixel 10 Pro camera at one of the Bai Bay stores and released a few photos. According to him, the result was by no means significa, and Pro res zoom failed to meet expectations.

He photographed a shelf full of Mario Kart World at differe levels of zoom, and the image recorded with Pro Res Zoom was by no means like a closer photo. Although artificial ielligence was able to make a little improveme in the image, the details were almost indistinguishable and the final output was not of significa value. Dry_astronomer3210 explained that although Pro res zoom sometimes makes the images more transpare, it sometimes adds fabricated details to the image instead of renovating the reality. For example, in one of the magnified photos there was text that had nothing to do with the original image.

In this process, Google uses the Late Diffusion model that aims to remove digital noise and artifacts while maiaining importa details. This has been one of the main problems for digital magnification for years. The processing of the model is completely done inside the device, and the official sample provided by Google also looked very significa at first glance. However, photos taken from the Bay Bott store shelves tell a differe story that makes Google’s claim about the Pixel 10 Pro’s ability to deliver the most quality zoom in a smartphone.

In defense of this feature, Google has stated that Pro res zoom is originally designed to record natural landscapes, wildlife and index buildings. This may explain why the 2 -fold image of a store shelf is not usable at all. However, this justification does not provide a convincing reason why the image was not only clearer, but in some parts it was also eroded and distorted. More importaly, even the restriction is not an explanation of why Google’s artificial ielligence has been confused in rebuilding parts of the image.
Of course, most users are not ierested in photographing game packages from a distance, so this will probably not have much effect on poteial buyers. However, such an experience can partially reduce users’ confidence in new technology, especially since Google has released just a formal example of this feature and has not provided extensive information.
