Pixel 2 with artificial intelligence translates telephone conversations instant

Google recently unveiled a set of new artificial intelligence features for the Pixel 3 Series 3, which will enhance the experience of telephone conversations to a new level. The two main features of this collection are “Voice Translate” and “Take a Message”, both of which are fully local and on the device itself, with the Tensor G5 chip and the Gemini Nano artificial intelligence model.

According to the 9TO5Google report, the “audio translation” feature is one of the most practical features of artificial intelligence we’ve ever seen in a smartphone. By activating this feature during a call, the opposite side will hear your voice conversation in your mother tongue and with a tone and sound similar to your real voice. Likewise, you also hear the voice of the opposite person with a sound similar to his own voice and in your own language.

This interesting process, which instantly views live subtitles on the phone’s display, is fully done on the device itself. This means that no audio data is stored and the privacy of users is fully maintained. This feature currently supports translation between English and four other languages, including French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Russian.
