The British governme has announced that it iends to use artificial ielligence to predict places that are more likely to occur.
The British governme, through the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Technology, has announced the details of a competition called the Conceration of Crimas Challenge. The ultimate goal of the project is to build a mome -based, artificial ielligence -based crime map for England and Wales by year 2.
The British Governme will use artificial ielligence to predict crimes
The British governme hopes that the map can predict that crimes such as knife crimes and ai -social behaviors will probably occur in which areas. This allows the police to iervene.

The project is part of a larger $ 5 million R&D Missions Accelerator Programme. The initial investme in the developme of prototypes has also been announced at about £ 5m by April.
This technology is expected to collect data such as criminal records and behavioral patterns of well -known criminals from various sources such as police, councils and social services, which will help the governme’s Safe StreetS Mission project aimed at reducing knife and violence against women within a decade.
While there are optimism about the use of the governme, police and other organizations, the St Giles Trust Ceer has warned that the technology should be used with caution. Tracy Berley, CEO of St Giles Trust, poied to the risk of “unfair profiles of some societies”.
He also said that any technological solution should be accompanied by proven measures such as early ierveion for endangered people and addressing root causes such as poverty and inequality.
The ieresting poi of the governme’s stateme is that specific protection details are not provided to preve profiles or misuse of data. The new British governme plans to make it one of the leading European couries in the field of artificial ielligence.
