At the first meeting of the Specialized Committee of Artificial Ielligence, which was held on July 9, with the presence of the Vice Preside of Science and represeatives of various agencies at the Vice Preside, the role of facilitation and coherence of the headquarters in the process of artificial ielligence developme was emphasized. The Vice Preside of Science announced that none of the devices should restrict others in the national division of artificial ielligence. He also added that the goal of the staff is to help promote the executive plans of the devices in the area.
The headquarters was formed by the Preside’s order and the approval of the Cabinet and its presidency was assigned to the first vice preside. The vice preside explained that meetings will be held in the form of specialized committees with the participation of various agencies before the main sessions of the headquarters were held to review and summarize artificial ielligence topics with an operational approach.
The meeting also referred to the National Artificial Ielligence Developme Program previously prepared by the Planning and Budget Organization and within the framework of the Seveh Developme Plan. According to Article 7 of the Seveh Schedule Act, the governme is obliged to formulate a national program for the developme of artificial ielligence. It is planned to review the program in the Artificial Ielligence Headquarters and to consider the views of the private sector, knowledge -based companies and executive agencies. The scieific deputy named the program as the coury’s roadmap in the developme of artificial ielligence technology and emphasized that all devices should be active in the process of editing, as it would not be accouable for a national program.
Following the session, the head of the Ceer for the Developme of the Knowledge Economics Developme Ceer was the main purpose of the meeting to iroduce the national platform of artificial ielligence and to examine the structure and functions of the specialized staff working groups. He explained that these working groups will be formed under the headquarters to use collective wisdom and operational developme of artificial ielligence activities so that the Artificial Ielligence Headquarters can play an effective role in the future of artificial ielligence technology.
Following the meeting of the Special Committee on Technology Developme and the Application of Artificial Ielligence, the importance of applying this technology to the growth of knowledge -based economy was emphasized. The head of the Knowledge Economics Developme Ceer said that supporting the private sector and knowledge -based companies and utilizing artificial ielligence capacities to increase productivity in differe sectors is one of the main approaches of the Scieific, Technology and Knowledge Economics Departme. According to him, the developme of the national platform of artificial ielligence has also been carried out.
Further, the represeative of the National AI and Professor of Sharif University of Technology, while iroducing the platform, cited its advaages as speeding up to develop systems, reducing costs due to resource constrais, scalability and ease of use for differe users. He categorized users of the platform io four professional, public, individual and organizational groups. So far, five universities have been involved in the developme of modules on the platform, and four knowledge -based companies have been added to the project to complete it. The Vice Preside of Science has also put the support for these companies.
In the second part of the meeting, the proposed structure of the specialized committees of the Artificial Ielligence staff was iroduced. These committees were divided io four main areas, including “policy making and regulations”, “education, research and technology”, “infrastructure, data and security” and “ecosystem developme and applications”. In the field of policymaking, axes such as regulatory regulation, formulation of standards and technical frameworks, comparative reviews of global policy, and legal issues of smart tools are on the agenda.
In the field of education and research, measures such as guiding technological projects, scieific cooperation with universities and research institutions, future trends analysis, and promoting culture and public literacy have been taken io consideration. In the area of infrastructure and security, the focus has been on national infrastructure, cyber security, data protection and legal dimensions related to artificial ielligence production. The developme of ecosystem and artificial ielligence applications in areas such as industry, health, iellige governme and other priority areas have been iroduced as the main task of the Fourth Committee.
At the end of the meeting, represeatives of the various agencies expressed their views on the national platform of artificial ielligence and the proposed structure of specialized committees.
