Although there have been rumors of a ban on selling Chinese display in the United States after a judicial order, this is not true.
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) agreed to Samsung’s complaint about the robbery of business secrets for OLED display by Chinese company BOE and banned the import of products containing these displays.
ITC authority
It has the right to prohibit the import and sale of products that violate the patent or commercial secrets in the United States. It was earlier that ITC, after breaking the patents of Massimo, banned the import and sales of Apple Watch with blood oxygen measuring, and Apple was forced to deactivate this feature in the US market.
According to ET News, the ITC institution has confirmed Samsung’s complaint against BOE. Samsung Display won the dispute of business secrets for OLED displays against BOE. The commission, in its initial ruling, called for BOE to violate business secrets and order a ban on imports.
BOE seems to have copied Samsung’s production processes with industrial spying.
Non -impact on the iPhone
Apple produces iPhone displays from three suppliers (Samsung, LG and Boe). Initially, violations of the rules were thought to be used in some iPhones and banned. However, according to current studies, no iPhone model is subject to this ban. Probably the reason for this is the lack of use of the iPhone to the specific types of OLED.
