The CEO of Perplexity Startup says the use of artificial ielligence-based coding tools has reduced the work that normally lasting 2-5 days to an hour.
In an ierview with Yotobi Y Combinator, CEO Aravind Serinius said in an ierview with the Yotobi Y Combinator that the company has iernalized the use of artificial ielligence -based coding tools and has increased the productivity of engineers significaly.
Perplexity engineers must comprehend artificial ielligence coding tools
Serinius said engineers active in Perplexity now need to mandatory artificial ielligence coding tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot. These tools are used to produce parts of a code or disruption of programs. According to Serinivas, the use of these tools has reduced the testing time and testing for new tasks from 1-2 days to one hour.

“This level of unbelievable change is unbelievable,” said Sereynius. “The speed that we can fix with the bugs and bring the product to the production stage is great.”
The Perplexity search engine reported a 5 % increase in May and recorded 5 million search. At the Bloomberg Technology Summit in May, Serinius predicted that within a year, Perplexity will reach a record of one billion search per week. He poied out that the engine of artificial ielligence was processed in the year when it began to work, and this number had been processed by 5 million by May by May.
Of course, the use of artificial ielligence -based coding tools can cause problems, for example creating bugs that engineers are not yet familiar with.
The Perplexity startup unveiled its artificial ielligence -based web browser called Comeet last week. The browser uses the Perplexity artificial ielligence search engine as its default tool and has an iernal chat.
The role of artificial ielligence coding tools is rapidly increasing. A review of job advertisemes from differe companies also shows that they are looking to hire developers who are familiar with tools like Cursor and Bolt.
