Xiaomi unveiled its humanoid robot named Cybervan earlier than Tesla

In today’s event, Xiaomi unveiled not only a phone and a series of wearable gadgets, but also a smart robot named Cybervan to achieve this important goal earlier than Tesla.

Xiaomi is currently considered one of the largest companies active in the field of smartphone production, but the range of activities of this company is not limited to this sector. Xiaomi may be lower in the production of smartphones than some competitors such as Samsung and Apple, but apparently it has shifted its focus to other products in order to shine in those sectors. One of these sectors is the production of intelligent robots, the first example of which was unveiled today.

Xiaomi smart robot is like a normal human. Of course, not in terms of appearance, but in terms of physics. For example, he is 1.77 meters tall and weighs 52 kilos. The nickname of this robot is “Metal Bro” (metal brother/friend) and they even gave it the sign of Leo. Taurus is the fifth constellation of the zodiac, and those whose birth date is in this constellation are known as ambitious and determined people because Asad means lion. With these interpretations, it is easy to understand why the metal friend has such a sign in the zodiac.

This robot came to the middle of the stage during today’s event, and we don’t know why, but a flower was given to the head of Xiaomi, Li Jun, who can actually be considered the reason for the birth of this robot. A little later, he took a selfie with his creator and left the stage without any problems.

Of course, Cybervan, which is actually the original name of this robot, is not the first robot made by Xiaomi. If you remember, it was around August last year that the Chinese company unveiled a robotic dog named Cyberdog. But this new robot is a bit more advanced. The face of this robot is designed in the form of a circular OLED display, but there are no signs of human facial features. However, the Cybervan can hear with two microphones, see the world around it in 3D and understand 45 different human senses that are expressed verbally. The body of this robot allows him to maneuver 21 degrees, which he does thanks to 13 powerful joints.

Although this robot surprised many users, it has a very high price. According to Li Jun, the price of each Cybervan is about 600,000 to 700,000 Chinese Yuan, equivalent to 89,100 to 104,000 dollars. This means that Xiaomi needs a lot of capital to produce each Cybervan, and as a result, it has not yet mass-produced it. Of course, it must first be determined in which parts of life or corporate work these robots are supposed to be used in order to be able to say whether their abilities can be counted on or not.

It will be interesting to see how Tesla, the company under Elon Musk’s supervision, reacts to this Xiaomi robot. Now that Tesla is lagging behind, it remains to be seen if its answer to Xiaomi will be tooth-breaking or not.
