The Vanplus 13S is introduced with a capability from a Jina that is not even seen on pixel phones. It is the first Android handset to provide quick access to Gemini through the lock screen shortcut, which is also absent in Google’s products. In addition, the handset uses the integration of OnePlus AI and Gemini into Van Plas’s dedicated apps.
The OnePlus 13S has been introduced as a compact flagship and is very similar to the Vanplus 13T model in China. This model has been introduced with the OnePlus 2 and Vanplus 13R. The remarkable thing about this handset, in addition to its appropriate dimensions, is that for the first time the Gemini shortcut feature directly on the lock screen, a feature that even pixel phones lack.

Immediately after the device is turned on, the Midicular Icon is visible on the Vanplus 13S lock screen. This shortcut introduces Gemini as Google’s digital assistant, but its specific symbol shows that it is clearly related to Gemini. Implementation of this shortcut directly activates the Gemini program and there is no ambiguity in its function.
What makes this feature more special is the absence of pixel phones. In pixel devices, shortcuts such as camera, do not disturb, flashlights, smart home, quiet mode, QR scanner and video camera, and these options have remained unchanged on Android and Android 2, though the user interface has evolved.

Google is testing a capsule -shaped button to call Gemini from the lock screen, but the solution provided by the Vanplus 13S is far more integrated and natural in the user interface. Gemini can also be accessed using voice commands such as OK Google or Hey Google or by long pressing the power button (if this function is not returned to the power menu). In addition, the Vanplus 13S is the company’s first device to support the OnePlus AI along with the OnePlus AI Plus Mind, as well as the Gemini integration with Vanplus apps.

In terms of hardware, the Vanplus 13S is very similar to the 13T version, but there are differences in battery capacity (less than 5850mAh against 6200mAh in 13T) and the front camera (32MP with 16MP autofocus with fixed focus in 13T). Also, while the 13T model is available in China with a Color OS interface without Google’s services, the 13S model comes with the Oxygen OS 15 operating system with Google apps.
Other highlights include the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, 2-watt Supervooc (no wireless charging support), 50MP main camera, 50MP telephoto camera with 6x zoom, Wi-Fi 7, Wi-Fi 7, Wi-Fi 7.0. But perhaps the most prominent feature of this handset is its small dimensions. The device is equipped with an FHD+ display with a renovation rate of 120Hz and a 3.5 -inch size and its overall dimensions are almost equal to the iPhone 6 Pro and weighs only 5 grams.
The OnePlus 13S is not supposed to enter the US market, but at least it is available in markets outside China. In India, the 256GB version of the phone is available for buyers at a price of $ 1.2 (approximately $ 2) and the 512GB model for Rs.
