Hongchi HS3 luxury SUV with impressive design and 250 horsepower engine will be launched soon. HS3 is the cheapest SUV of this Chinese brand.
Hongqi, a Chinese automaker known for luxury SUVs/sedans, recely unveiled the HS3 SUV during the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show. The company plans to officially launch this compact SUV, which is considered the cheapest in this class, on July 17, corresponding to July 26.

Exterior design
Hongchi HS3 is in the category of compact SUVs. This Chinese luxury SUV is 4655 mm long, 1900 mm wide and 1668 mm high, and its two axles are implemeed at a distance of 2770 mm from each other. Hongchi offers 6 body colors for it: black, white and gray plus white, blue and green with a black roof.
This Hongchi product is no exception to the Chinese carmaker’s usual attractive design, and hence the large grille with vertical silver lines and its iegration with the narrow C-shaped lights stand out on the fro. Also, a silver line is drawn from the inside of the grille to the middle of the hood, which is another unique eleme in the design of Hongchi products. In the side view, the floating roof with black pillars, chrome trim in the pedal area and 5-spoke rims can be seen. The rear end includes Hongchi-specific boomerang-shaped taillights, a roof spoiler and chrome trim on the bumper area.
HS3 cabin design and features
In the ierior of the Hongchi HS3 luxury SUV, two-layer dashboard design, vertical veilation ves following the elemes of the exterior and the red line in the ceer of the console between the seats can be seen. In the ceer of the dashboard is a 12.6-inch vertical display for the information and eertainme system, and a 12.3-inch LCD display behind the steering wheel also serves as a digital amp screen. The ceral console also has 2 wireless charging plates and 2 chargers for the driver and fro passenger.
Other features of the HS3 cabin include a panoramic sunroof, 253-color ambie lighting, air conditioning and heating, plus electronically adjustable fro seats, adaptive cruise corol, and keyless ery.
Technical specifications of Hongchi HS3
Hongchi offers the compact luxury SUV HS3 with 1.5-liter and 2-liter engines, both of which are turbocharged. The 1.5-liter turbocharged model has the ability to produce about 165 horsepower and 258 Nm of torque, and with a maximum speed of 195 km/h, it takes 9.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. The driving power of this engine is transmitted through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The 2-liter turbocharged engine of this Hongchi brand luxury SUV can produce about 250 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque, and its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h should take 7.2 seconds. The maximum speed of this 2-liter engine reaches 220 km/h, and an 8-speed automatic transmission is considered to transmit its driving force.
