With the approval of the Cabinet, the “Technology Headquarters and the Application of Artificial Ielligence” was formed on the proposal of the Vice Preside of Science, Technology and Economics of the Presideial Base; A metropolitan institution that will carry out a macro policymaking mission, institutional coordination and facilitation in the developme of artificial ielligence technology in the coury.
The main purpose of the headquarters is to achieve the first economic, scieific and technological position in the Southwest Asian region and to promote Iran’s position to the top five couries in the field of artificial ielligence. This goal will be pursued by focusing on boosting the biomass of knowledge -based businesses in this area.
Preveing parallelism and creating institutional cohesion in policymaking
According to officials, the lack of ceralized artificial ielligence policy making is the basis for parallelization of the devices and waste of the coury’s resources. The formation of the headquarters can lead to the synergy of national capacities and facilitating the technology developme path with a purposeful and iegrated perspective.
According to the Cabinet Decree, all executive agencies are required to provide specific programs for the developme and utilization of artificial ielligence technology and act as cohere within the framework of staff policies.
Focusing on infrastructure developme, innovative regulation and business support
Among the key goals of the headquarters are the developme of basic infrastructure developme in the field of artificial ielligence, including specialized hardware, security and resilience.
The design of the Regulatory Sandbox is also on the agenda of the technology’s balance between innovation, developme and ethical and social considerations. This environme can be the basis for testing and implemeing technological innovations in hospitalization with minimal bureaucratic obstacles.
Monitoring and evaluating the progress of the National Aificial Ielligence Indicators, as well as supporting knowledge -based companies for the developme of domestic and iernational markets, are other missions of the staff.
