The Samsung Dot Quaum TVs have been able to get the SGS Iernational Institute’s approval for non -cadmium technology.
Samsung Electronics announced that the quaum dot layer used on QD TVs has been able to obtain a certificate of compliance with the Standard Restriction of Dangerous Materials (ROHS). According to the evaluation carried out by the SGS Iernational Institute, this layer lacks the cadmium toxic eleme and is evaluated safely.
The SGS Institute, based in Geneva, Switzerland, is recognized as one of the most prestigious and leading iernational institutions in the field of testing, inspection and certification. By providing extensive evaluation services, the organization helps a variety of industries such as electronics, food safety and environmeal protection to ensure adaptation to world quality and safety standards.
Samsung has taken an importa step in maiaining consumer health and ensuring safety while watching TV by receiving the SGS Institute’s approval to use cadmium -free technology in the Dot quaum layer as well as adapting to the EU ROHS standard.

Samsung has begun its research on quaum technology in 2001 and has consolidated its position as one of the pioneers of the display industry worldwide with extensive investme and effort. In 2014, the company managed to develop the first non -cadium -free quaum material, and just a year later launched technology -based TVs. Since then, Samsung has played a key role in advancing quaum dot technology, relying on coinuous innovations.
Samsung in particular has been able to develop cadmium -free nanocrystalline materials and has so far registered about 150 pates related to the technology. The company, relying on extensive technical knowledge and innovative achievemes, offers a new generation of dot quaum TVs that, using safe and harmful elemes free, provide higher standards of safety and quality to consumers.
