Openai has recely added a new feature to ChatGPT that makes the web search experience smarter and more personal.
According to rece reports, the feature iroduced as “Memory With Search” allows ChatGPT to use data that has previously stored in user conversations about ierests such as nutrition, lifestyle or place of residence to provide more accurate and personal results.
“Memory with Search”, ChatGpt’s new feature
For example, if ChatGPT knows you are vegetarians and live in San Francisco, when you ask, “What restauras are close to me I love? That is, the results you receive will be more accurate and appropriate to your needs and ierests.
This feature is gradually offered and it is not yet clear what users are activated. Some users on social network X have reported this feature earlier this week, but many still don’t have access to it.

Openai has announced this feature quietly in its site support and Changelog notes. Also on April 16, 2025 (April 27), in addition to the addition of new O3 and O4-Mini models to ChatGPT, the “Mobile Search Memory” feature is also meioned.
This change is in line with the gradual reinforceme of the ChatGpt memory tool; A tool that has recely been able to completely review the history of user conversations and seems to be part of OpenAI’s macro strategy to compete more seriously with competing chats such as Claude from ahropic and Google Jina, as these tools are increasingly focused on developing memory -related capabilities.
If you do not wa to use this feature, you can disable the ChatGPT memory option by visiting the Settings section to disable this full feature.
