Apple’s complai due to the delay in the release of a new version of Siri

In one of the cases filed with the Federal Court of California, two plaiiffs said that if they knew that these features were not delivered in a timely manner, they would never buy the iPhone 16. They have accused Apple of violating honest advertising laws and fair competition. A similar complai was filed in British Columbia, Canada, and both cases have called for Apple to pay damages to buyers who have upgraded their devices in the hope of using a new Siri.
If Apple proves an Apple violation, the judge may oblige the company to pay compensation to all customers affected by these ads. The final seence has not yet been issued, but these cases can have serious financial and credit consequences for Apple.
The new Siri capabilities were supposed to improve the performance of the voice assista, and Apple iroduced them as an importa part of the iPhone 16 series in their marketing campaigns. Even advertising with the famous actor, “Bella Ramsey”, was produced to show the power of this version of Siri, but when it was revealed that it was delayed, Apple was forced to remove those ads.
Although Apple and its legal team have not yet responded to these complais, it is clear that the widespread dissatisfaction of users and this legal space can put a lot of pressure on the company. In the coming weeks, more details of Apple’s proceedings and possible reaction will be released.
