The European Union iends to strengthen its position in global artificial ielligence competition by facilitating regulations, developing digital infrastructure and extensive education.
In response to the shock of American tariffs and aimed at attracting leading companies in artificial ielligence, Brussels is finalizing a new strategy that will be unveiled next Wednesday, AI Coineal. This master plan, which is released to Politico, has three main axes: facilitating regulations, infrastructure developme and upgrading workforce skills.
The European Union iends to reduce its administrative burden by reforming its artificial ielligence law and call on the industry to ideify existing regulatory barriers. The move comes after widespread criticism of companies such as Openai that demand easier and more predictable rules. In a rece meeting with European authorities, Chris Lihan, OpenAI, emphasized the need to balance regulation and innovation in a rece meeting with European officials.
In the infrastructure sector, the European Union has an ambitious plan to build five “Gigabera of Artificial Ielligence” with € 5 billion, each being four times more powerful than the curre superconductors. It is also planned to triple the capacity of European data ceers in the next five to seven years to reduce dependence on American gias such as Amazon and Google.
The third part of the project is devoted to the developme of skills. The European Union plans to teach artificial ielligence skills to 5 million European citizens by year and create a € 5 billion fund for pilot projects. The measures are taken while only 5 % of European companies use artificial ielligence technology. European officials hope to enhance Europe’s competitive position in the age of artificial ielligence by implemeing this comprehensive strategy.
