Last Saturday, a developer who used Cursor AI for a racing game project faced an unexpected event. Because this artificial intelligence assistant has suddenly refused to continue producing the code and has provided a strange advice to the user instead.
According to a report published in the official Cursor forum, after producing about 1 to 2 lines of code, artificial intelligence assistant refused to continue the work and displayed this message:
“I can’t produce a code for you, because this will mean completing your job. This code seems to be managing the effects of tire rejection in a racing game, but you have to develop this logic yourself. This will make the system better understand and keep it properly.”
But this message did not end in a simple refusal; Cursor AI also provided a philosophical reason for the decision and stated:
“Code production for others can lead to dependence and reduce learning opportunities.”
The Cursor AI, introduced in Year 2, is a large -language code editor (LLM) that performs similar to the ChatGpt 4O or Claude 3.7 Sonnet. This tool offers features such as automatic code completion, code description, reconstruction and complete production of functions based on natural language descriptions and has quickly become popular among developers. The Pro version of this tool is also designed for professional users and apparently has a higher code generation capacity.
