The former US governme, led by Joe Biden, imposed many restrictions on the export of chips and technologies to couries such as China. These restrictions are often due to national security concerns, and the new Trump governme seems to be trying to reduce or cancel them.

Microsoft has warned that one of the unwaed consequences of this approach is that US allies are distanced from the coury to develop artificial ielligence infrastructure and technologies and are getting closer to China. Microsoft has coinued to describe US governme restrictions as a gift to the rising artificial ielligence industry in China.
The US governme has restricted access to advanced artificial ielligence chips and technologies that Western companies have developed because of national security concerns. In response to these measures, China has also sought to develop native artificial ielligence chips and has achieved successes.
