According to the BBC report, at the AI Action Summit summit, France, China, India and several other couries signed a stateme, pledging to take an open, comprehensive and ethical approach to developing artificial ielligence. But the US and the United Kingdom refused to sign the stateme.
The summit focused on the impact of artificial ielligence on the community and the environme, and couries took the necessary steps to get the benefits of this technology and preve its risks.
US and British refusal to sign artificial ielligence stateme
The United States and the United Kingdom have not explained their reasons for signing the stateme, but earlier, US Vice Preside JD Venus said in Paris that excessive regulations on artificial ielligence could “eliminate the transformative industry as it is on the path of growth.”
Venus told other heads of states who came to the Paris summit, saying artificial ielligence is “an opportunity that the Trump administration will not waste it and that the policies of artificial ielligence growth should be prioritized over safety.” He said it requires regulations that reinforce its developme rather than suppressing artificial ielligence. Venus added that in particular European leaders, “instead of fear, they should look at this new advanced technology with optimism.”
JD Vance’s remarks appear to be in conflict with French Preside Emmanuel Macron’s views that defend the need for further regulations. “We need these rules to advance artificial ielligence,” Macron said at the summit.
Policymakers, executives and diplomats at the Paris Summit are discussing ways to gain economic benefits of artificial ielligence and at the same time addressing the technology. Earlier, Emmanuel Macron also poied to the dangers of artificial ielligence by publishing a set of dip -foster clips on social media.
