In a new ierview, Dario Amodei, the CEO of Eropic, has talked about the future of artificial ielligence. He says that with this technology, in 5 to 10 years, we can achieve the advances of the next 100 years in fields such as biology. This can double human lifespan.
Dario Amodi said in an ierview with the Wall Street Journal:
“My guess is that if we really get what we need for artificial ielligence right, we can make 100 years of progress in areas like biology in the next five or 10 years. “If you think about what we expect humans to do in the next 100 years in, say, biology, doubling the human lifespan is not at all out of the question.”
Dario Amudi holds a Ph.D in biophysics from Princeton University and was a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University before eering Silicon Valley, but Amudi’s prediction of doubling human life in such a short period of time is merely a guess and may not be accurate.
Ahropic CEO commes on artificial ielligence

This is not the first time that Dario Amudi describes the poteial of artificial ielligence in biology and health. October 2024 In a long article, he meioned that artificial ielligence could eveually lead to advances in the treatme of almost all natural infectious diseases, the eradication of most cancers, and effective treatmes for genetic diseases.
Amodi said in his new ierview that the past 3 to 6 mohs have made him increasingly confide that AI systems are progressing to eveually surpass humans in almost all tasks. He says:
“My guess is that by 2026 or 2027, we’ll have AI systems that are better than all humans at almost everything.”
Of course, Amudi admits that the rapid developme of this technology faces limitations. “The thing that holds us back most of all in positive applications[of artificial ielligence]is the physical world and the limitations of human institutions,” he says. Of course, according to him, the drugs developed by artificial ielligence should still undergo clinical trials.
“Larry Ellison”, the co-founder of Oracle, also agrees with Emodi about the importance of artificial ielligence in improving human health. He gave a speech at the White House last week and said that in the future, artificial ielligence can help diagnose and develop cancer treatme vaccines and make these vaccines available to everyone within 48 hours.
