The Galaxy S25 series comes with One UI 7, which offers a lot of artificial intelligence features. This user interface uses an engine called Personal Data Engine that collects and analyzes your information over time to provide a more personalized user experience. The new features of this version are listed below.
Now Brief
The Now Brief feature integrates with default Google and Samsung apps to provide you with different information at different times of the day and night.
For example, this feature can get your health and wellness information like Energy Score and last night’s sleep quality and show them to you in the morning along with the weather report. Throughout the day, the Now Brief feature can display different work schedules, news, and even route information for commuting to work and back home. When night falls, information such as memorable images and videos of that day and even settings such as Do Not Disturb will be provided to you.
New quick settings options
In One UI 7 there are two new options for quick settings: Nearby Devices and Modes.
Nearby Devices provides a new user interface to access your nearby devices. You can drag and drop these device names onto your device name to see what features you can use or what information you can access.
The Modes option allows you to switch between different modes.
Morning Brief widget
The Morning Brief widget opens the Daily Briefing feature and displays information about your morning. This information includes energy score, sleep score and weather data.
More live notifications
There are more live notifications in One UI 7. Among them, we can mention Live Notification for Bixby, clock, map, Samsung Health, Voice Recorder, Google Sports, Samsung Note and Emergency Sharing. Thanks to the partnership with Google, Samsung can now show live results of sports matches even on the phone’s lock screen.
Galaxy AI improvements
The artificial intelligence of the Galaxy has been greatly improved due to the use of Samsung’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Now you can run many AI functions on the device itself. Composer and Style And Grammar now have their own submenus in the Galaxy AI Settings section.
Browsing Assist
Browsing Assist now has a new option called Read Highlights Aloud. When you access this feature using Samsung Internet while browsing the web or reading news, articles are summarized and read aloud for you. You can slow down or speed up the reading of articles. This feature also allows translation from one language to another.
Writing Assist
Writing Assist is divided into Chat Assist and Writing Assist. Writing Assist has a new user interface that you can access wherever you start typing. It also offers bullet point and table formats. Chat Assist also provides several language and tone changing tools.
Sketch to Image
The Sketch to Image feature, which turns simple sketches into advanced designs, now only renders an image. Previously, 4 images were generated, but now if you are not satisfied with the output, you can generate images again.
Photo Assist
Photo Assist functionality now runs entirely on the device itself. With a slider, you can specify what accuracy you want it to benefit from. Even ugly drawings can turn into beautiful pictures if you put the precision down. If you set the accuracy to high, the AI will try to render the closest output to your drawing.
Drawing Assist
Drawing Assist now has a new design. This AI feature provides 6 default design modes:
- Illustration
- Ink And Wash
- Pop Art
- Sketch
- Watercolor
- 3D Cartoon
You can even choose an image from your gallery so that the artificial intelligence will create a new image inspired by it. You can also use text descriptions to create images.
Audio Eraser
Audio Eraser is able to detect 6 types of sounds including music, noise, pet voice, human voice and wind sound in videos. Once the AI detects these sounds, you can choose which sounds to keep and which to remove from the video. This feature can be run entirely on the device.
AI Select
When you enable AI Select, the screen will be scanned and actions will be suggested based on the content the AI sees. The model behind this feature is multifaceted, so it’s not just limited to text recognition. For example, if you call this feature while watching a YouTube video, the AI can suggest things like making a GIF from the video.
Circle to Search improvements
The Circle to Search feature is now able to identify phone numbers, emails, and URLs. This feature is also now integrated with the AI Overviews feature in the Google search engine.
