OpenAI is looking to partner with Samsung for AI capabilities in Galaxy phones

Users of Samsung Galaxy series phones now have access to various artificial ielligence capabilities using Galaxy AI. Although Samsung iends to improve the efficiency and performance of this service by equipping Galaxy AI with Gauss 2 generative artificial ielligence model, Galaxy AI is still not in a position to compete with products such as ChatGPT chatbot.
Hence, adding ChatGPT capabilities to Galaxy phones could be a win-win game for Samsung and OpenAI. Also, OpenAI could threaten Google’s dominance of the software market by expanding its influence among major smartphone manufacturers.
How Samsung and OpenAI will work together is not yet clear. The most likely option is to add some of ChatGPT’s popular features to the Galaxy AI system. This is exactly how OpenAI is prese in Apple Ielligence.
In response to this news, Samsung has only announced that the company is promoting an open ecosystem and is ready to cooperate with all companies. In addition, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman visited Samsung’s chip manufacturing pla in South Korea earlier this year.
At its developer conference held in South Korea, Samsung announced that its Galaxy AI service will expand to more than 200 million devices this year. OpenAI now has the opportunity to strengthen its influence in the artificial ielligence ecosystem while reaching 200 million new poteial users.
