“Mohammad Hossein Rasouli”, the founder of the Medictech group, one of the participas and activists of the Dubai GITEX exhibition, analyzed and reviewed his experience from this exhibition in an ierview. In this conversation, emphasizing the importance of GITEX exhibition as one of the largest and most importa technology eves in the world, he addressed key pois about the strengths and weaknesses of the exhibition, the presence of startups, Iranian companies, and the poteial of creating iernational networks for Iranian businesses.
The importance of GITEX exhibition and its structure
Emphasizing the importance of Jitex exhibition as a global forum for displaying the latest products and technological innovations, Rasouli considered it a valuable platform for large companies, startups and innovative companies. “Every year, GITEX hosts large companies from all over the world, including companies valued at more than one billion dollars and considered so-called ‘unicorns,'” he noted. In this exhibition, many new products are unveiled and companies have an opportunity to iroduce new technologies and establish business relations.
One of the importa parts of Jitex exhibition that Rasouli meioned is “Norse Star”, which is dedicated to startups and small businesses. He explained: “This section, which used to be held in the same place together with Jitex, has now been moved to a separate place due to the increase in the number of startups. Norse Star provides a suitable opportunity for small businesses and startups to iroduce their products and services to visitors and investors and enjoy a special space for making business connections.
Norse Star; An arena for iroducing startups to the world
One of the strengths of this year’s Jitex exhibition was the importance and role of Norse Star for startups. Referring to this section, Rasouli explained: “This place is a great opportunity for startups to iroduce their products and services to iernational audiences. He added that small startups can meet with investors and get the opportunity to attract capital at Norse Star. In his opinion, this networking and ieraction with investors can help startups to take big steps in their developme.”
According to Rasouli, a significa number of startups from differe couries were prese at Norse Star this year, and some of them managed to sign multi-million dollar coracts with investors. He poied out: “Saudi and Nigerian startups were among the successful examples of this sector that were able to reach an agreeme with investors, and this shows the importance of networking in such exhibitions.”
The challenges of the presence of Iranian companies in GITEX
Concerned about the presence of Iranian companies in Jitex, Rasouli recalled that many Iranian participas come to the exhibition without a goal or plan and eveually return without any specific results. He emphasized: “Most Iranian companies only come to the exhibition for one or two days, while in order to take maximum advaage of Jitex opportunities, it is necessary to have a coinuous and planned presence.”
Rasouli meioned his experience and said: “He was fully prese at the exhibition all the days of Gitex and used this opportunity to make iernational connections.”
According to him, accurate targeting and planning to attend the exhibition can lead to establishing business ieractions and finding business partners, while simply visiting the booths and photographing the exhibition environme without a specific plan will not lead to any specific results.
Weaknesses of this year’s exhibition; Why did some sectors not meet expectations?
Rasouli further poied out some of the weak pois of this year’s Jitex exhibition. He said that one of the major weaknesses of this GITEX course was the shrinking of preseation stages and lecture panels. He noted that in the past years these stages were much bigger and with a greater capacity for the attendance of those ierested, but this year this space was significaly reduced and this limited the attendance of the audience in some meetings.
He also poied out the significa decrease in the presence of Chinese and European companies and said that compared to previous years, European couries and China had a smaller presence this year and a smaller number of companies from these couries had participated in the exhibition. According to Rasouli, this issue can be influenced by regional and geopolitical issues.
The poteial of GITEX exhibition for artificial ielligence technology in Iran
Emphasizing the importance of attending GITEX for artificial ielligence activists in Iran, Rasouli said: “This exhibition can provide great opportunities to transfer knowledge and technology to the coury. He explained that in GITEX, many new ideas in the field of artificial ielligence are proposed and many couries use these ideas to develop their technologies.
However, he regretted that due to market limitations and financial obstacles, many new artificial ielligence ideas are not able to be implemeed and commercialized in Iran.
According to Rasouli, European and American couries quickly bring innovative ideas to the MVP (minimum product) stage and use Jitex opportunities to attract capital and develop the market, while such conditions are less available in Iran. He emphasized: “To use the opportunities of Jitex in the field of artificial ielligence, more planning and investme is needed so that these ideas can become a reality in Iran.”
In the end, Rasouli emphasized the importance of planned and purposeful presence in such eves, referring to his experience from Jitex exhibition and observing startups and iernational companies. He added: “Despite the challenges and limitations, the Jitex exhibition is a unique opportunity to create connections and improve the position of Iranian businesses in the iernational arena, and if Iranian companies can attend this exhibition with a specific goal and strategy, they will be able to achieve great achievemes.” will be.”
