Meta is reportedly working on its own AI-powered search engine to reduce its dependence on Google and Microsoft. This search engine will likely provide the coe that the Meta AI chatbot provides.
According to a report by The Information, the Meta artificial ielligence chatbot embedded in Instagram and Facebook currely uses Google and Microsoft Bing to answer users’ questions about rece news and eves, but Meta seems to wa to change this practice and use the engine. Use your own search.

According to new reports, the meta web crawler has been spotted on the web for mohs. It looks like the Meta team has been working on building the database for their chatbot for about 8 mohs. Meta has also been working on creating location data that can compete with Google Maps.
Last week, Meta announced that it has signed a multi-year coract with Reuters and its chatbot will be allowed to use news articles from this media in its responses. Of course, Reuters receives money for displaying its coe on the Meta artificial ielligence chatbot through Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger.
In general, big tech companies like Meta and Apple wa to become independe from Google and Microsoft and rely less on their search engine. OpenAI also confirmed a while ago that it is working on an artificial ielligence search engine called SearchGPT. This search engine is differe from what we see in Google and it doesn’t just show you a list of links, but it will show the information you wa in a better organization.
Now we have to see how Meta was to compete with the big tech companies by building its own search engine.
