Tesla's humanoid robot or Optimus, who had attracted a lot of atteion in rece weeks by publishing a video of folding his clothes, has gone further this time and can now walk completely naturally.
It wasn't long ago that Tesla CEO Elon Musk released a progress video on the latest model of the series' humanoid robots, in which Optimus could pick up a shirt and fold it properly. This video shows that Tesla's new robot is rapidly improving motor skills and can now handle tasks that require high precision. In the latest video shared by Elon Musk on his X (formerly Twitter) accou, he shows Optimus, which in its new update has gained the ability to walk naturally and smoothly and can simulate human walking.
In Musk's video, we see the humanoid robot walking around the Tesla facility building, amazingly simulating the movemes of a walking human. Noteworthy is Optimus' smooth and vibration-free moveme, which is differe from the dry movemes of robots we've seen before. The audience of Video Mask believes that the movemes of this robot look very natural and exactly like a human trying to take sneaky and secret steps!
Although in the published videos, Optimus does not ask for help from any human; But Elon Musk has announced that this robot is not independe in performing its tasks as shown in the images and cannot act completely autonomously. However, he and Tesla's engineering team are optimistic about the future of Optimus and believe that in the near future, the robot will be able to operate fully autonomously.
Tesla's humanoid robot was iroduced during Tesla's AI Day eve in 2021, and the initial performance of this robot is significaly differe from what we see today. At the time of iroduction, Tesla Optimus was able to dance, water plas, talk and even walk; But his movemes weren't that differe from other humanoid robots we'd seen up to that poi, and Optimus' dry, artificial gait made it far from a true human simulator. But now it seems that the tide has turned and this robot is fast approaching a clone of us. Tesla's last official display of its products dates back to the iroduction of Optimus Gen 2 in 2023, during which it unveiled a more advanced version of the robot equipped with new and advanced capabilities.
