Ukraine’s missile attack cuts off electricity for 50,000 people in Russia – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Al-Mayadeen, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Russia’s Belgorod region, announced that the electricity of about 50,000 Russian citizens in this region was cut off this Friday, after the Ukrainian missile attack last night.
He added that about half of those affected will have electricity restored by the end of Friday, after the latest series of attacks that have caused frequent power outages.
Gladkov wrote in Telegram: “Energy infrastructures have been severely damaged, and as a result, the supply of electricity, water and heating has been disrupted.
Belgorod is located about 40 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, and during the four years since the start of the war in Ukraine, it has been the target of repeated Ukrainian drone and missile attacks.
