According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, the spokesman of the Pakistan Army, said: “We used our right to legitimate defense.” We destroyed 73 border posts with Afghanistan and dominated 18 centers.
He added: “All the targets we have attacked in Afghanistan were military and the attacks were carried out carefully. 274 officials and elements of the Taliban have been killed since last night.”
He said: No civilian center was targeted and we targeted the areas from which it was attacked.
The spokesman of the Pakistani army announced that 12 army soldiers were killed while repelling the night attack of the Afghan forces.
On the other hand, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Afghan government, said: Pakistan has violated the airspace of Afghanistan and has targeted civilians several times. We exercised our right to legitimate defense.
He added: The war in Pakistan is an internal issue and attempts to impose its internal problems on us are unacceptable. We reiterate our call for dialogue and finding a peaceful solution and seek to resolve any dispute through understanding.
