According to the Mehr News Agency, quoted by Russia Allium, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel emphasized Havana’s full readiness to deal with foreign threats in a message he published through the X social network.

He added: We will resolutely defend the country against any terrorist attack against our national sovereignty.

This position was adopted after the exchange of fire between the passengers of an American boat and the Cuban Coast Guard.

The Ministry of Interior of Cuba announced a few hours ago that a boat with the American flag entered Cuban territorial waters and opened fire.

According to the statement of the Ministry of the Interior of Cuba, the defense forces of this country reacted with counterfire in response to this action, as a result of which four people on board the boat were killed.

In this statement, it is emphasized that this incident occurred after the violation of Cuban maritime sovereignty and shots were fired by the attacking boat.
