China restricted the export of some goods to Japan – Mehr News Agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Reuters, China’s Ministry of Commerce announced that the country has banned the export of dual-purpose items to 20 Japanese entities that play a role in providing Japan’s military needs.
China’s Ministry of Commerce said the measure would target units of Japan’s major industrial giants, including Mitsubishi Corp’s shipbuilding and aerospace engine divisions, but did not provide details on the items subject to the controls.
The restrictions are aimed at curbing Japan’s remilitarization and nuclear ambitions, as well as prohibiting foreign organizations and individuals from transferring dual-use items of Chinese origin to listed entities, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said in a statement.
According to this statement, Chinese companies must obtain a license to sell products to the said institutions.
