United Nations: 20 million people in Sudan need urgent help – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, Jens Lerke, the spokesperson of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced in an interview with Al Jazeera that more than 20 million people in Sudan need urgent humanitarian aid.
Referring to the continuation of conflicts in this country, he asked the conflicting parties to allow humanitarian workers and institutions to provide emergency aid to civilians without hindrance.
Ocha’s spokesperson also described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as “catastrophic” and warned of the consequences of the continued humanitarian crisis in the region.
