Trump extended US sanctions against Russia for another year – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, citing Russia Daily, US President Donald Trump has extended the sanctions against Russia for another year, according to an executive order published in the US Federal Register.
The text of the decree, which is to be officially published on Friday, claims: “Sanctions against Russia will continue due to the state of emergency arising from the conflict in Ukraine.”
The text emphasizes that Washington continues to view the conflict in Ukraine as an “extraordinary and extraordinary threat” to US national security and foreign policy.
The aforementioned sanctions were first imposed in 2014, 2018 and 2022 under the pretext of the Ukraine crisis. In this order, Trump has stated that the danger of threatening the national security and foreign policy of the United States remains, while the Moscow authorities consider these sanctions to be illegal and contrary to the principles of international law.
