Erdogan: Israel’s decision to recognize Somaliland is useless – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al-Mayadin Network, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a speech in Somalia today: Africa’s problems should be resolved by the countries of the same region and the Horn of Africa should not become an arena for conflicts between foreign powers.

In this regard, the Turkish president said: Israel’s decision to recognize Somaliland will not benefit this region or the Horn of Africa.

According to Anatolia news agency, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan pointed to the Zionist regime’s decision to recognize Somaliland as an independent and sovereign country and emphasized that this decision is neither in the interest of Somalia nor in the interest of the region.

At a joint press conference with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in Addis Ababa, Erdogan said: I want to emphasize that Israel’s recognition of Somaliland is neither in the interest of Somaliland nor in the interest of the Horn of Africa. We believe that the countries of the region should find solutions to the problems of the region and we ask the Horn of Africa not to become a “battlefield of foreign powers”.
