Zelensky: A date should be set for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera News Agency, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in a speech today despite Washington’s anti-Kief position, claimed: We need the participation of the United States in providing security guarantees.
In this regard, the President of Ukraine added: America should make Ukraine stronger than Russia. We want to get some points from Russia. Give us 2 months of ceasefire, we are ready to hold elections. President Trump can pressure Putin to agree to a ceasefire.
Despite the reluctance of Brussels to accept Kyiv’s membership, Volodymyr Zelensky added: “A date must be set for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.”
This is while US President Donald Trump said earlier that Russia is interested in resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
He added: Zelensky must move towards peace, otherwise he will miss a great opportunity.
