American Energy Minister: Dozens of American oil companies entered Venezuela – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, US Energy Minister Chris Wright announced unprecedented cooperation with the transitional president of Venezuela in the field of energy and oil in an interview with CNN.
He claimed that this cooperation is based on the will of the Venezuelan side and the interests of the people of this country, and Washington does not interfere in determining the role of the interim government.
This American official stated that dozens of American oil companies have gradually entered the Venezuelan oil market or are about to enter this country.
He added: America has control over the flow of oil revenues so that these revenues return to the Venezuelan economy and the world market in a managed manner.
The US Secretary of Energy also emphasized that cooperation with the Venezuelan transitional authorities and large American companies continues in the framework of extensive discussions to improve oil production and rebuild the country’s energy industry infrastructure.
It is worth mentioning that Washington is trying to control the sale of Venezuelan oil “indefinitely” and supply a significant part of the country’s embargoed oil to the world market.
Last night, Delsey RodrÃguez, the interim president of Venezuela, and Chris Wright, the US Secretary of Energy, met in Caracas.
The two sides discussed and exchanged views on issues related to the energy sector as well as bilateral relations.
This meeting takes place while not long ago, the US Department of Treasury, in an action contrary to international standards, announced that it will only allow Venezuela to export oil if this work is done under the supervision of Washington.
It was stated in this statement: The operations related to Venezuelan oil will not include transactions with Russian parties.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the opening of Venezuela’s energy sector to American companies and their access to oil production, along with the use of oil revenues to buy American goods, among Washington’s demands from Caracas.
Nicolas Maduro, the kidnapped president of Venezuela, declared the country’s oil looters as the final target of the US attack on his country.
The interim president of Venezuela also emphasized the resistance against the extravagance of Washington.
