Persian Gulf Cooperation Council welcomes Muscat talks – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al-Anba, Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammad Al-Badawi, welcomed Friday’s talks between the United States and Iran in Oman.
He added: We appreciate the friendly and brotherly country of Oman for hosting these talks. This action shows Oman’s constructive role in supporting regional and international dialogues.
Al-Badaiwi stated that the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council hopes that these negotiations will bring positive results in strengthening peace, security and stability in the region.
He continued: We value Oman’s efforts with the cooperation of a number of friendly and brotherly countries to bring closer the views between the two sides and to create the basis for constructive dialogues for the benefit of the stability of the region and strengthening the opportunities for peace.
Al-Badawi stated: The member states of the said council emphasize on protecting the stability and security of the region and the welfare of its nations.
