According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Fox News, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni wrote on X channel in response to the weekend protests in Turin, Italy: Violence against the police and disruption of public order will not be tolerated.
By publishing pictures of his meeting with the injured police officers in the hospital, he added: “Protesters came with Molotov cocktails, hammers, paper bombs full of nails, stones that were thrown with catapults, and all kinds of sharp tools to kill us.” These are not protesters, these are organized criminals. These actions are considered attempted murder.

Video images showed that the protesters were wearing black clothes and clashed with the police.
The clashes followed a march in support of the Askatasuna community center, which had just been sealed off by local authorities. According to experts, this building was occupied by far-left activists for decades.
Italian authorities announced that 108 security forces were injured in these violence. Protesters threw bottles, stones, homemade bombs and smoke bombs at police officers. They set fire to trash cans and an armored police car, and used city furniture and lamp posts as weapons.
