Iraq’s strict security measures near the borders of Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, citing Al-Malouma, a security source in Anbar province announced that Iraqi forces have taken unprecedented security measures in the border areas with Syria located in the west of this province.
This source added that the aforementioned security measures are aimed at preventing the infiltration of terrorist elements into Iraqi territory. These measures have been adopted in the desert areas leading to the Al-Qaim border crossing after monitoring the suspicious movements of ISIS-affiliated elements.
He clarified that the desert areas of Anbar have hard-to-pass sections and security forces have been deployed at the entrances and exits of the western areas of this province. Similar measures have been taken near the crossings of Tarabil in Jordan and Arar in Saudi Arabia.
