SDF statement about the agreement with Damascus – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to the report of Mehr news agency, quoted by Al-Sumaria, the SDF announced in a statement today that it had reached an agreement with Damascus.
The QSD statement stated: Based on a comprehensive agreement, a cessation of hostilities has been established between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces, and an understanding has been reached regarding the phased process of the integration of the military and administrative forces of both sides.
This statement adds: This agreement includes the withdrawal of military forces from the contact lines, the entry of security forces affiliated with the Syrian Ministry of Interior into the center of the cities of Hasakah and Qamishli, and the beginning of the process of integrating security forces in the region. Also, the formation of a military unit consisting of three brigades of SDF forces and the formation of a brigade of Kobani forces in the form of a unit related to Aleppo province is foreseen.
QSD added: This agreement also includes the integration of the institutions of the self-governing administration in the framework of the institutions of the Syrian government, while maintaining the employment status of civilian employees. In addition, settlement of the civil and educational rights of Syrian Kurds and guaranteeing the return of refugees to their areas have been agreed upon.
In the end, it has been emphasized: The goal of this agreement is to unify the Syrian lands and achieve complete integration in the region by strengthening cooperation between the relevant parties and synergizing efforts to rebuild the country.
