“Bill Clinton” called on the American people to stand up in defense of their rights – Mehr News Agency RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, citing Hill, US President Bill Clinton accused Donald Trump’s administration of lying to the American people about the shootings of the immigration officers at protesters in Minneapolis.
In a strong statement, he condemned the “terrible scenes” that happened in the streets of America and said: I never thought that such events would happen in America.
The former US president added: People, including children, have been arrested by masked agents of the federal government from their homes, workplaces and streets. Protesters and citizens who have used their legal right to observe and document the actions of the police have been arrested, beaten, and targeted with tear gas.
Clinton pointed to the killing of American nurse Alex Pretty by the agents of the Trump administration’s immigration office and said: “The most bitter is the case of Renee Goode (the first immigrant killed by agents in Minneapolis) and Alex Pretty who were shot and killed.”
He continued: All these actions are unacceptable and should have been prevented.
The former US president then criticized the Trump administration for the way it reacted to these shootings and said: To make the situation worse, the officials have lied to us at every step. We have been told not to believe what we have seen with our own eyes. They have used aggressive and hostile methods to prevent local authorities from investigating.
Clinton asked people to use this opportunity to restore American democracy and defend their basic freedoms.
He added: “During life, there are milestones where our decisions and actions will shape history for years to come.” We are now at one of these milestones. If we lose our freedoms after 250 years, we may never get them back.
The former US president continued: The duty of all of us who believe in American democracy is to stand up, explain the issues and show that the people still rule in this country.
