painful scene in Gaza; A child under the rain with an empty dish and crying eyes+film – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Quds Al-Akhbariya, Palestinian sources depicted a painful scene in which a child sheds tears due to cold and hunger.
This Palestinian child is crying in the rain with an empty food container in his hand and no warm clothes to protect him from the cold.
This is a scene that was depicted in one of the refugee camps in Gaza under the rain and shows the unfortunate human situation and the severe lack of food and the lack of shelter to protect the residents of Gaza, especially children, from the cold, wind and rain.
In the shadow of numerous international warnings about the continuation of the humanitarian crisis, especially the hunger crisis in the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian institutions announced that the humanitarian situation in Gaza, more than two months after the beginning of the ceasefire, is still dire and the people are deprived of the most basic facilities for a normal life.
Amjad al-Shawa, director of the network of Palestinian non-governmental organizations in Gaza, said in a press statement that the occupiers have confined hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees in only 41% of the area of the Gaza Strip in very harsh and inhumane conditions.
He added: More than half a million people in Gaza have lost their homes and thousands of people are living in the ruins of their destroyed homes. In the meantime, due to the severe shortage of goods and food, the unreasonable increase in prices and the destruction of livelihoods, more than 90% of the people of Gaza cannot provide their basic needs.
This Palestinian official warned that in the shadow of the accumulation of garbage and the destruction of water and sewage networks, a severe health crisis has engulfed the residents of Gaza. The limited aid that the Zionist occupiers allow them to enter Gaza has not helped to solve the humanitarian crisis in this strip and has not brought any hope to improve the living conditions of the people.
Amjad al-Shawa added: The occupiers have imposed severe restrictions on goods entering Gaza and do not allow the entry of goods and basic items. Meanwhile, the dire health situation, especially malnutrition, has also intensified. Traders can get 20% of the fresh fruits, vegetables and proteins needed by the people of Gaza, but the prices of these items are very high and the people cannot afford them.
He emphasized: The occupiers do not allow the entry of basic and necessary food, proteins necessary for body growth, eggs and fresh products, which has a high negative impact on the health of children, especially pregnant women. Therefore, we do not see any improvement in the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and as the United Nations has warned, the humanitarian situation in Gaza will become more catastrophic in the next few months due to the continuation of these policies of the occupiers.
This Palestinian official in Gaza said: “Maybe the number of trucks entering Gaza has increased slightly compared to the past, but the goods that these trucks carry are not of the required quality and cannot meet the real needs of the people.”
In addition, UN reports show that due to severe restrictions on basic necessities in Gaza, 70% of children in this group are born prematurely and underweight, and nearly 100,000 children and thousands of pregnant women will face severe malnutrition by April 2026.
Also, UN reports show that 77% of Palestinians in Gaza are in a constant cycle of hunger, and 90% of these people spend an entire day without regular access to food.
