According to the Mehr News Agency, citing the information base of the Iraqi National Wisdom Stream, the President of Iraq, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, said during the official ceremony on the occasion of the 1st of Rajab, the anniversary of the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Muhammad Baqer Hakim and “Iraqi Martyr’s Day” held at the office of the Iraqi National Wisdom Stream in Baghdad, that Iraq has gone through difficult circumstances. We have gathered today to observe the Martyr’s Day of Iraq; An occasion whose purpose is to immortalize the sacrifices that our nation has made for freedom, democracy and the fight against dictatorship.
Abdul Latif Rashid, referring to going through many hardships in Iraq, stated: We honor the anniversary of the martyrdom of Seyyed Mohammad Baqer Hakim with pride. A great, religious and national figure who spent his life fighting the dictatorship.
He continued: Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Baqer Hakim was one of the pillars of national political activity after 2003, who played an important role in establishing the government, stabilizing and institutionalizing the democratic process, and defending the unity and sovereignty of Iraq. He brought the Iraqis together and in the most difficult situations, he preferred wisdom, planning, logic and dialogue over everything else.
Referring to the capabilities of the Iraqi government and nation, the Iraqi president emphasized: Iraq has passed through the turmoil of difficult times and has now reached the shore of security and stability. As a result, strengthening the foundations of democracy is a national mission and a patriotic duty.
He further considered it a national duty to keep alive the memory of scholars, great national figures and their sacrifices for future generations as a part of the country’s history and identity.
Abdul Latif Rashid, pointing out that Iraq has gone through difficult conditions in the past decades, said: the children of the Iraqi nation, including all the security forces in the army, police, Hashd Shaabi and Peshmerga forces, have made many sacrifices in this way.
In another part of his speech, he emphasized that the country has achieved stability and stability, and noted that everyone should strive to continue this situation. This requires that efforts be doubled, pending issues be resolved, and the path of progress and prosperity continue.
The President of Iraq added: “The children of our nation achieved a great achievement by holding the successful elections of the House of Representatives.” In this way, they showed their adherence to the foundations and principles of democracy and followed their rights to form executive and legislative bodies to show the will and honesty of Iraqis. With this action, they have sought to fulfill their dreams and demands to live a generous and honorable life.
At the end, Abdul Latif Rashid emphasized: Stabilizing the democratic process is a national duty that will be achieved through adherence to the constitution and its implementation on the due date. Therefore, we call for the integration and synergy of efforts to move towards the formation of a government that represents all Iraqis; A government that can make their dreams come true in a prosperous, prosperous and advanced Iraq, institutionalize security and stability, fight corruption, and improve the level of livelihood and appropriate services in various sectors, including health and education.

Political differences should be put aside and Iraq should be transformed from a country composed of different classes to a country with equal citizenship rights. Seyyed Mohammad Baqer Hakim had put the slogan of national unity and building the country on the basis of justice as his title.
