Consultation between the foreign ministers of Iran and England regarding consular issues and the nuclear case
Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Mrs. “Ayotte Cooper”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, consulted and discussed with each other in a phone call on Friday.
According to Isna, in this phone call, opinions were exchanged on some issues of bilateral relations, including consular issues, and the necessity of continuing consultations at different levels was emphasized to strengthen mutual understanding and follow up on the issues desired by the parties.
In this telephone consultation, while criticizing the irresponsible approach of the three European countries towards Iran’s nuclear issue, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country emphasized: Iran has never rejected negotiations based on respect for the legal rights and legitimate interests of the Iranian nation, but it rejects negotiations in the sense of unilateral imposition.
The British Foreign Minister also emphasized the country’s position on the necessity of using diplomacy in relation to Iran’s nuclear issue.
