Hamas statement about the Zionist regime’s settlement movements in East Jerusalem – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Shahab News Agency, in a statement, Hamas strongly condemned the approval of the plan to build a new settlement in East Jerusalem by “Betsleil Smotrich”, the Minister of Finance of the extreme cabinet of the occupying regime.

It is stated in this statement: This plan includes thousands of residential units of new settlements, which was approved yesterday by this far-right minister.

Hamas emphasized in its statement today that this action is a dangerous escalation in the West Bank settlement and annexation project and a new crime in the history of the colonial occupation regime in violation of international laws.

Hamas stated: This settlement plan is within the framework of an organized policy whose goal is to Judaize Jerusalem, separate it from its Palestinian environment, and change its nature and identity. Also, this action is a clear attack on the rights of our nation, its land and sanctuaries, and disregarding the will and warnings of the international community.

Hamas warned that the continuation of settlements is the cause of tension and instability in the occupied lands, and the cabinet of the occupying regime is fully responsible for the consequences of these colonial steps in the region.

Also, Hamas asked the international community, the United Nations and its legal institutions to assume their responsibilities and to immediately stop the settlement projects and take preventive measures against the occupying regime.

Hamas also requested the Palestinian people to strengthen their stability and unity in confronting the plans of Judaization and displacement.
